The surrounding region offers endless possibilities for visitors of all age.

NATURE
Chalet lies just within the Vysoke Tatry (High Tatras) national park. Slovensky raj (Slovak paradise) national park and the Pieniny are only a 30 minutes car ride away. Zakopane and the Polish border are also within easy reach. There are many tourist paths (walking/cycling), natural scenery, mountain lakes and caves (Belianska cave 10 km, Dobsinska cave 50 km), offering endless possibilities for nature lovers. Particularly attractive is the rafting voyage on the Dunajec river which can be undertaken from May until the end of October.
ACTIVITIES
Skiing in the winter and early spring, mountain hikes in the summer, walks, cycling and relaxing in thermal swimming pools in all seasons – these are some of the possibilities that the surrounding region offers. There are many ski slopes in the area (the closest one – for beginners - is only a few hundred metres from the cottage) – Zdiar, Bachledova dolina, Jezersko, Tatranska Lomnica, Skalnate pleso, Strbske pleso.. Thermal swimming pools are in Poprad (Aquacity – 20 km), Vrbov (12 km) and Vysne Ruzbachy (25 km).
HISTORY
The Spis region is a real paradise for history lovers – in a relatively small area there are a large number of historical towns, castles and different sights. The best known are – Kezmarok (historical centre, wooden church, castle), Stara Lubovna (open air museum, castle – 30 km), Cerveny Klastor (museum and monastery), Spisska Sobota (St.George's church, historical centre – 18 km), Levoca (highest gothic altar in the world – 35 km) or the Spis castle together with Spis Chapter and the church in Zehra (UNESCO sights – 55 km).
